Coaching for Leaders of CCGs

At the Pathfinder launch on 26 January 2011, the first of the leadership development offers for clinical commissioners was launched.  The National Leadership Academy is offering access to personal coaching for all leaders of Clinical Commissioning Groups and also team coaching for Clinical Commissioning Group leadership teams.

The offer is for up to four funded coaching sessions for each leader and/or one team coaching session.  Clinical Commissioning Group leaders are able to select from a register of 25 accredited coaches, who have been through a robust selection process to ensure the quality of their coaching interventions.  In the first 14 days there were 24 enquiries for 1:1 coaching and 11 enquiries for team coaching.

Earmarked funding will enable 250 CCG leaders to access 1:1 coaching and 60 leadership teams to access team coaching up to March 2012.
