NHS Leadership Academy pledges support to get more women doctors in driving seat

Just as David Cameron was this week calling for action to increase the numbers of women in the UK boardroom this week, the NHS Leadership Academy was pledging to tackle the underrepresentation of women doctors in leadership roles.

National Leadership Academy

As with all the other structural changes to the NHS the landscape for national delivery and hosting of leadership activity is also changing. The intention, announced by Secretary of State back in June, is to bring together all our existing national leadership programme work, along with a new range of commissions and activities and provide through a newly established NHS Leadership Academy a single, comprehensive home for leadership.
